The following is a list of top 7 most hardworking
entertainers in Kabwe from a survey that was carried out by RAS Magazine.
According to the magazine there are a number of talented entertainers
who are working so hard in putting Kabwe on the Zambian Map.
Here they are in no particular order or rank.
JEMAX
Classic music Records
Rapper,a talented song writer and HipHop ace out of Kabwe.He rose to fame after
the release of his single“Ba Chilolo”. Signed under
Alpha ENT Studios, Kopala Swag representing 70 Niggaz of Kabwe (KBW).
His real names are James Kawele Kavimba, born on 5th November, 1993 in a ghetto called Kamushanga in Kabwe District of the Central Province of Zambia. He comes from a very humble family of eight (8) children, seven (7) boys and one (1) girl where he is the 6th born and a girl is the last born.
Jemax started music in 2008 and by then he was
in grade seven (7). He completed his secondary level of education in 2013. His
favourite rapper is Macky 2 since day one. Meaning he is the reason why he
started this rap thing and he had no idea about it until he heard his single
called ’This Is Why Am Hot’. His real names are James Kawele Kavimba, born on 5th November, 1993 in a ghetto called Kamushanga in Kabwe District of the Central Province of Zambia. ZED PRIDE
The gifted acts Aladeen & Ron K last year
delivered a soft love song titled “Only One For Me” featuring Israel
and the impressive production credit goes to Artistic Planet’s Label Producer
Kekero. It has been reported that the duo is in studio working on a collabo with
Congolese musician Dacosta.
This is a fine track to endorse an exciting and enjoyable

KABZ
Kabz is a Producer, song writer and a Gospel musician
straight out of kabz beats musiq factory. He is one of the most consistent
Producers and Musicians in Kabwe. His resent Live TV performance at Prime
Television has attracted big TV presenters from ZNBC TV.KABZ BEATS brings to the Zambian music a better touch
and mixing quality.
T GEAR
T-Gear, whose real name is Thomas Banda is indeed one of the
local artistes enjoying popularity in Kabwe.His most loved song is Njikata
Kuboko ft Maps. Could he be the next drimz?
DRIMZ
Straight out of Drim 10ment rose the Ireen mambilima
singer/writer/music Producer Drimz the pride of Kabwe.
If radio play is anything to go by, then Drimz’ other
singles, Lolo, the Chef187- assisted Mpakafye Ubushiki and the
inspirational Potential Millionaire
make him a bankable hit-maker.
2008 would see Drimz sign with
Sling Beats where the likes of Roberto
and Levins were also building their
careers under the mentorship of Drex. But it
was his desire to produce music that set him apart. After he learned the craft,
he moved back to Kabwe in 2009 and set up Drim-10ment studio where he produced Day vee’s Love Farmer and Damiano’s Katundu.
Success comes with its own pitfalls, but Drimz (real name Lota
Mandevu) says it has not gotten to his head, neither has it affected
his marriage.
His ‘salt muli soupu’
slogan is becoming its own brand, thanks to the T-Shirts he and his team where
at his shows.
DJ FUN
Onga Mphonela aka “DJ FUN” is Kabwez number one club D j. He
was one of the D J’s pa “Life @40” and currently he plays at Risk point. Most of
his club mixes are played all over Kabwe both in clubs and houses. The day you
will hear the slogan “Lelo Nimu nyante!”Just know it’s him.
UNCLE REMO
Uncle Remo is one of the best music producers in Kabwe if
not the best. His studio TQRV is home to most of the big guns in the Zambian
music industry and stands out to be the most renowned producer in central
Province of Zambia.
