Which place is the most densely populated in the world?

I'm not sure if it's really the most densely populated on earth, but it's really, really narrow there.

We're talking about Migingo.

This island is located in Lake Victoria between Uganda and Kenya. The island is only half a hectare in size and is permanently inhabited by 400 people. This leads to a population density of 80,000 per km². For comparison with this population density, Berlin would have 73 million inhabitants.

Every meter of this island has been built up and attempts are being made to create additional space with primitive measures.

The abundance of fish around the island enables the fishermen, who mostly come from very poor Uganda or Kenya, to earn a stable income. Conflicts often arise between these groups.

TherThere has been a dispute about this island for a long time, which has often led to military provocation on both sides.
