How does Donald Trump's wealth compare to other world leaders like Barack Obama and presidents from other countries like Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping?

Trump claims to be worth $10 billion.

Forbes says the real figure is $3.2 billion, which is more believable since 50% of the $10 billion trump claimed was in “brand value,” an assertion for which he provided no backup.

According to trump, Putin is the richest man in the world, with more than $1 trillion AND control over spending by the oligarchs who depend on him for their positions. Putin says he makes $140,000/year and lives in an 800 sq. ft. apartment. One Russian critic estimates Putin’s wealth at $70 billion. An American journalist with extensive (and painful) experience in Russia says $200 billion.

So even by trump’s own estimate, advantage Vlad.

Most estimates think Xi has about $1.2 billion.

The reality, of course, is we will never know the true picture for any of these gentlemen. Take the futuristic house shown below, which online pundits claim belongs to Putin:

It doesn’t actually exist. It’s an architect’s simulation of what Putin’s house MIGHT look like.

Then there’s this:

It actually exists, on the Black Sea Coast. Navalny, who Putin had jailed for having the audacity to run against him, claims it’s Putin’s. But there are no records proving that, and my Russian friends say Vladimir isn’t so stupid as to put something like that under his name (even if it IS his).

But while the exact numbers will undoubtedly remain unknown, it’s pretty clear the rankings are (a) Putin, by a mile (b) trump and (c) Xi.
