What happened in 1977?


 In 1977 in Siberia, the carcass of a baby mammoth was accidentally discovered as it unearthed from the permafrost by a miner's bulldozer. They named him "Dima" after a nearby stream and upon further discovery, he was found to have died 40,000 years ago when he was just between 6 and 8 months old. Traces of his mother's milk could still be found in his stomach.
